Atlantic Canada Premiers host mission to the United States
Trade Mission

Premier Robert Ghiz is leading a trade team mission to Atlanta, Georgia, focusing on trade in aerospace and defence, information technology, life sciences, agri-food and seafood. The mission will take place on February 6-8, 2012.

Replacement of the Wellington bridge is one of the projects included in the first round of road construction tenders for 2012.

Over $5 million in projects are going to tender as part of the first round of road construction projects for the 2012 construction season. Nearly $38 million in total has been budgeted to improve safety and efficiency on Island roads and bridges in 2012.

Islanders Encouraged to Receive Influenza Vaccine

Some of the most at risk groups are seniors, children under two, pregnant women, health and child care workers,and people with chronic health conditions.

As the flu season approaches health professionals are encouraging Islanders to get their flu shot. Vaccine clinics are being set up around the province through physicians' offices and family health centres.
