The new Government of Prince Edward Island website is designed to better serve residents and businesses by making it easier to search and find information in English or French from any device, anywhere, any time–all the time.
Watch for school buses on the highways and byways of the province. Passing a school bus when its lights are flashing is dangerous and illegal.
Islanders are encouraged to follow the Canadian Centre of Substance Abuse’s Low-Risk Alcohol Drinking Guidelines. Adults of legal drinking age, who chose to drink, are reminded to limit drinking to no more than two drinks a day or 10 per week for women, and three drinks a day or 15 per week for men.
The week of November 5 to 11 is Veterans Week, a time to remember and honour all men and women who have served, and continue to serve our country during times of war, conflict and peace. More than 118,000 Canadians have given their lives and their futures so that we may live in peace.
Foster families play an important role in PEI communities by providing care on a short or long-term basis for children up to age 18. There are about 170 children in foster care in the province. To learn more about becoming a foster parent, plan to attend an upcoming information session.
