Registering a Private Collection

Claude Arsenault of Birch Hill, PEI, shows a collection of Acadian artifacts from western Prince Edward IslandThe Province of Prince Edward Island, through the Aboriginal Affairs Secretariat, is developing a database of all private collections.

There are several advantages to having your discoveries registered with our office:

1.  While your collection is on loan to us, we will have an opportunity to study and record details about your finds.

2.  Your information may pinpoint a new site that can add to our ability to document and preserve the archaeological heritage of Prince Edward Island.

3.  The Secretariat will profile your collection and highlight your find with photos and a short biography
