| Description: | The Public Forest Council is hosting meetings on innovative, non-timber uses of the Island's public forest lands. Possibilities include recreation, ecotourism, the production of fruits, berries, mushrooms, greens, and medicinal plants. The Council encourages all interested to attend and contribute their ideas about forest products and new economic opportunities.* In case of storms, the meetings will be held on the following day. All meetings begin at 7:30 pm. There will be displays of some potential products at each of the sites with the displays open at 6:30 pm. |
