BioFoodTech, in partnership with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and the PEI Department of Agriculture & Forestry, has arranged this Dried Fruits & Berries Workshop.

Workshop provides information on:

  • Provincial licensing requirements
  • Federal regulatory requirements for labelling and food safety guidelines by CFIA representatives
  • Brief overview of technical aspects of the drying process
  • Technical and practical aspects of food packaging for dried fruits
  • Quality assurance and storage of dried fruits
  • Packaging demonstration in BioFoodTech’s pilot plant
  • Overview of government programs
