Description:

larvae - 20mm fully grown
feed in colonies
envelope foliage in silken web
adult - moth’s forewings have black spots on a white background
wingspread 24mm

What it attacks:

Euonymus trees including burning bush

Damage:

defoliation

Prevention/Control:

dormant oil
some forms of B.t.
pheromone trap (attracts insect & traps it in a sticky substance, insect dies in trap)
safers soap
