Canada-PEI Agreement on French Language Services

The Canada-PEI Agreement on French Language Services is a cost-sharing mechanism funded by the federal government, through the department of Canadian Heritage, and the Government of Prince Edward Island. Such bilateral agreements are designed to increase the capacity of provincial and territorial governments to develop, improve and offer services to the official language minority community.

In Prince Edward Island, this agreement is the main mechanism used to support the implementation of the French Language Services Act. Funding is intended for government institutions only. Individuals and private or non-profit organizations are not eligible for this funding.
