Agricultural Crop Rotation Act - Management Plans
Approval of management plans submitted under the Agricultural Crop Rotation Act.
Growers and landowners wishing to plant regulated crops more frequently than one year in three or plant on land with a slope greater than 9 per cent must follow an approved management plan. Extension staff are available to assist farmers in the development of the management plans.

Agricultural Crop Rotation Act - Permits
Permits may be issued to allow regulated crops to be grown back to back if the field was in sod for the previous three years.

Apiary Inspection Program
This program supports the regulations under the Apiary Inspection Act through hive inspections and permits for the importation of honey bees.
The Apiary inspector conducts brood inspection of hives in the spring. Confirmatory tests are performed by the Plant Health Research and Diagnostics Services lab.

Dairy Inspection Program
All milk houses are subject to inspection under the Dairy Industry Act.
Milk houses are inspected annually. Additional inspections are conducted if lab results or other factors warrant.

Farm Registration
The program supports the Farm Registration and Farm Organizations Funding Act through the registration of farms.
All farms with a farm income greater than $10,000 must register annually with the Registrar of Farms and indicate the general farm organization to be supported.

Potato Disinfection Program
The program supports the Plant Health Act by providing disinfection services for potato producers.
All trucks transporting potatoes leaving the province must be disinfected. Warehouses may be disinfected upon request. Disinfection may be required for Bacterial Ring Rot clean up.

Swine Import Permits
A permit is required for the importation of swine into the province under the Swine Importation Regulations. To obtain a permit the swine may have to be inspected and tested for diseases.
