This handbook for Prince Edward Island has been prepared as a ready reference on agricultural statistics by the Atlantic Office of Statistics Canada, Agriculture Division and the Agriculture Resource Division of the Prince Edward Island Department of Agriculture and Forestry.

Most of the material has been compiled from Statistics Canada sources and surveys. Agriculture & Agri-Food Canada and other sources are acknowledged where data is obtained from their programs.

We dedicate this publication to the farmers, processors and all others associated with the industry whose co-operation through surveys and censuses, makes the information available. Without their co-operation in returning the data on their operations, this book would not be possible.
