Morley Acorn was born in 1870 in Lower Montague to parents Charles Acorn and Caroline Sabine. The family later relocated to Souris where Morley lived until his death in 1936. At the time of his death, Morley Acorn was the Mayor of Souris. Morley was married to Augusta (Gussie) Muttart of Souris. Morley Acorn had an eye for the picturesque in photography. His collection includes many pleasing views of Souris and area. See Jim Hornby The Island Magazine No. 13, Spring/Summer 1983.
