Abegweit Sisters, 1931

The Abegweit Sisters basketball team of Charlottetown were provincial champions for several years in the 1930s. In 1933 they competed for the Maritime championship but lost to the Halifax Ladies' Athletic Club. This Craswell photograph of the "Island Hoop Champions" appeared in The Halifax Herald.
