Exhibit on display at Government House, Monday to Friday, 10:00 am to 3:30 pm to the end of August

Type of activity: garden party with flag-raising; ceremony and music


Family Picnic Day hosted by the Town of Souris at the CN Park from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm. Live entertainment by Borderline with Peggy Clinton and Lester Stubbert.

Miltonvale Park Diamond Jubilee celebration hosted by the Miltonvale Park Community Council

Residents are invited to the Milton Community Hall in the afternoon for tea to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee as well as the presentation of the volunteer award. Do you have any memorabilia to display? If so, please contact the Miltonvale Park office at 368-3090. Ladies are encouraged to wear a hat. A special visitor will be in attendance.

Fanningbank Garden Party, Charlottetown

Islanders and Visitors are invited to attend a public garden party on the grounds of Fanningbank between the hours of 2:30 and 4:00 pm. Light refreshments will be served and entertainment will be provided by the Queen's County Fiddlers. (Raindate is Tuesday, July 17)

A series of radio dramas based on the happenings in Summerside in 1952 to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee.  The event, organized by Wyatt Heritage Properties, will take place at the Eptek Art and Cultural Centre  from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.  Queen Elizabeth cake and tea will be served.
