The Legislative Review Committee is responsible for coordinating the legislative development process, for reviewing and analyzing all proposed legislation at each of the various stages between conceptualization and drafting for First Reading in the Legislative Assembly, and for reviewing and analyzing all regulations or amendments to regulations prior to their submission to Executive Council for approval.

The review of legislative proposals will occur in a continuous cycle. Proposals may be submitted to the Legislative Review Committee through the Secretary at any time throughout the year. In addition, the committee will undertake an ongoing, systematic review of statutes and regulations currently in force to ensure relevance and consistency.

Memoranda for the Committee's consideration are to be submitted to the Committee Secretary, c/o Executive Council Office.
