LAND USE POLICY TASK FORCE

A Land Use task force is being established to ensure all Islanders have the opportunity to share their ideas for developing, and implementing, future land use policy.

Forming a task force to lead a public dialogue on provincial land use policies was one of the recommendations of the Report of the Commission of Land and Local Governance.

The group will research the present planning system and lead public consultations this spring. It will then examine all findings before recommending land use policies to government in the fall.
