Monday, Sept. 29, 2014 – Day 5

Sports:

  • Girls soccer practice today is cancelled. Practice tomorrow and games Wednesday and Thursday.
  • Boys soccer practice is cancelled today. Boys play Tuesday at Stonepark and Wednesday at Montague.
  • Girls volleyball practice is cancelled today.

Cafeteria:

  • Today’s Special: Spaghetti & meatballs, garlic bread, Caesar salad, $5.00, 5:45 with milk.

Miscellaneous:

  • Could all leadership council students please meet for a short meeting today at 12:15 in Mr. Brioux’s room.

Music:

  • Grade 9 band meets tomorrow morning at 7:45.
  • Band room is open today at lunch for extra help, practice and skill testing.

Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014 – Day 4

Sports:

  • Girls Volleyball  game today against East Wiltshire.
  • Girls soccer team play today at Winslow field at 4:00 against Grace Christian.
  • Boys soccer team practice today after school.

Cafeteria:

  • Today’s Special: Chicken Strips with mashed pototo and corn, $5.00. with milk $5:45.

Miscellaneous:

  • Terry Fox run today. Terry Fox pledge money can be passed into Home Room teachers.
  • Could all leadership council students please meet for a short meeting today at break in the cafeteria.
  • All library monitors please meet in the library at 12:15 today.

Music:

  • Instruments must go home today for the weekend. No band today at noon time.

Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2014 – Day 3

Sports:

  • Girls Volleyball practice today, 3:00 – 4:30. First game tomorrow against East Wiltshire.
  • Boys soccer team had a big win over Stonepark yesterday 5-0. Goal scorers were: Tegan Misener 2, Jesse Heartz, Minkyu Kim, Augustine Ortiz all with 1. Joey Hood had the shutout in goal. Player of the game: Alexandre Alphonso.

Cafeteria:

  • Today’s Special: Lasagna with garlic bread and Caesar salad, $5.00.

Miscellaneous:

  • Terry Fox pledge money can be passed into Home Room teachers. All pledge money is due Today. Today is also jersey day for only $1.

Music:

  • Grade 7 band meets at lunch today.

Thursday, Sept. 18, 2014 – Day 5

Sports:

  • Girls soccer team play against Queen Charlotte today at Simmons field, 4:30.
  • There will be a cross country practice today after school. Please meet at John St. Field at 3:00.
  • Boys soccer practice today 3:00 – 4:30. Please bring any forms and $30 fee.

Cafeteria:

  • Today’s Special: Build your own burger, $3.25. Also Sheperd’s pie with mashed potatoes, Veg & Bisquit, $5.00, with milk $5.45.
  • Friday’s Special: Baked fish with mashed potatoes & vegetables, $5.00, with milk $5.45.

Miscellaneous:

  • Meet The Teacher Night, tonight, 7:00 pm. Come out and meet your son or daughters teacher Thursday night. Each teacher will go over expectations and curriculum for the year.
  • Friday our Terry Fox fundraiser will kick off with the pledge sheets going home and a hat and p.j. Wear a hat and or p.j.’s for a dollar each. There will be a pizza party for the top 15 fundraisers and the top three will get individual prizes.

Music:

  • A reminder that early morning band practice starts next week. Grade 9’s will rehearse on Tuesday mornings, Grade 8’s will rehearse on Friday mornings. Both rehearsals begin at 7:45.

Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2014 – Day 4

Sports:

  • Boy soccer team had a big win yesterday. The team played a very solid game with Minkyu Kim getting player of the game.
  • Girls soccer team had a tough loss yesterday but played a spirited game.  Hailey Murphy scored a highlight goal for Birchwood’s only goal. Practice today after school.
  • There will be a cross country practice today after school. Please meet at John St. Field at 3:00.
  • Girls volleyball Practice today from 3:00 – 4:30.
