PISA Challenge 2015

In October 2014, the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, the English Language School Board and La Commission scolaire de langue française rolled out a strategy to prepare students for the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) 2015.

The final push will be the weekly PISA Challenge.  Every Monday, starting on March 23, a sample PISA Question of the Week will be posted on this page.  Solutions to each question will be posted the following week.

Students and Parents are invited to test their problem solving and critical thinking skills by developing answers for the Question of the Week.

A note about scoring: When students take the PISA test, their answers are scored as either correct (full credit) or incorrect (no credit). For some questions, partial marks (partial credit) are also awarded where an answer is provided but is incomplete. Parents and students should carefully look at the posted solutions to recognize the differences between a full credit, partial credit, and no credit answer.
