Englewood Annual Smelt Adventure

Grade’s K-6 enjoyed a great day exploring with nature yesterday. Students and staff always come back with such great things to say about this event.

We would like to really thank Rosie MacFarlane and her group of volunteers for making this happen.

Easter Seals Ambassador Cameron Gordon Visits

Englewood had its yearly visit from the Easter Seals Ambassador. This year’s ambassador Cameron Gordon gave us a few motivational words and accepted a check from Student Council Representatives. The Easter Seals Tour is a wonderful “Island Tradition” in PEI Schools.

Kowboy Mike Hughes Delivers a Powerful Message

Professional Wrestler Kowboy Mike Hughes made a visit to Englewood and delivered an age appropriate message to all the students divided into three different age groups.

K-3 – He delivered a message on healthy living. Also, the importance of fitness and nutrition.

Grades 4-6 – Chasing Dreams and never giving up.

Grades 7-9 – About the different between a wish and a dream, and believing in yourself.

All students really enjoyed the presentations. Mr Hughes did little to no self-promotion of himself and his Red Rock Wrestling Company. So we decided we would do it for him in appreciation for his visit.

Their next show is April 7th, 2017 Stratford Town Hall
