This day was dedicated Island Wide for schools to work on their School SMART Goals. We were required to examine how we are progressing and what changes we need to make.

Englewood School SMART  Goals:

Grades K-3 Reading Smart Goal:

Using the data from the 2016 Early Years Evaluation (EYE) data, the number of students in the 2016 kindergarten cohort who are meeting age appropriate expectations will increase from 75% to 87% on the Primary Literacy Assessment (PLA) in 2019.

Grades 4-9 Writing Smart Goal:

Grades 4-6:  Using the data from the 2016 Primary Literacy Assessment (PLA), the number of students in the 2016 grade 3 cohort who are meeting expectations in writing will increase from 43% to 79% on the Elementary Literacy Assessment (ELA) in 2019.

Grades 7-9:  Using the data from the 2016 Elementary Literacy Assessment (ELA), the number of students in the 2016 grade 6 cohort who are meeting expectations in writing will increase from 65% to 83% on the Intermediate Literacy Assessment (ILA) or equivalent in 2019.

 

Grade 4-9 Numeracy Smart Goal:

Grades 4-6:  Using data from the 2016 Primary Mathematics Assessment (PMA), the number of students in the 2016 grade 3 cohort who are meeting expectations will increase from 86% to 98% on the Elementary Mathematics Assessment (EMA) in 2019.

Grade 7-9:  Using data from the 2016 EMA, the number of students in the 2016 grade 6 cohort who are meeting expectations will increase from 94% to 100% on the Intermediate Mathematics Assessment (IMA) in 2019.
