Greenfield School will be celebrating Lights Out Day on Wednesday, April 22. This campaign is being held in conjunction with Earth Day. Check out our Lobby Light Bulbs that were made by our students. They have great ideas for saving energy!
The goal is to create awareness of global warming and the steps that all of us can take to decrease our carbon footprint.
Here at Greenfield we will be doing the following:
1. Turning off the lights and technology (as reasonably as possible) in our school for that day.
2. Student announcements for the week of the 20th – 24th.
3. Lobby display of ideas for reducing, reusing, and recycling. (More to come on this)
4. Grade 4-6 student presentations in every class on Apr. 22nd about Lights-Out Canada.
