Bricks 4 Kidz

Register Now for Bricks 4 Kidz After-School Classes

Bricks 4 Kidz is pleased to announce we will be offering after-school classes at Gulf Shore Consolidated School. Classes follow the Bricks 4 Kidz® motto:

We Learn, We Build, We Play with… LEGO® Bricks.

We Learn– Teachers provide a 5-10 minute themed lesson, usually involving science, engineering, math and technology topics.

We Build– Students build the model of the day with simple step by step instructions
We Play– Students explore their own creativity through creative construction time

When: Thursdays from May 18 to June 22

Time: 2:45-4:00pm

Who: Students in Kindergarten to Grade 6; Maximum of 20 students and a minimum of 10 students required to run the class

Cost: $75/student (tax included) for the six week session

We will be doing the Cranium Contraptions module.

Build and explore crazy contraptions that really work your brain. Students use LEGO® Bricks, axles, pulleys, gears and motors to create fun and interactive models. Compete with friends in a rousing game of Battle Tops or Foosball. Put your hand-eye coordination to the test with the Ping Pong Popper model. Experiment with the Mini Fig Mover to see how this model will send your mini fig for a ride. All this and more are waiting to be discovered as students learn and play with Cranium Contraptions!

At the end of the six week session, students will take home a custom mini-figure they created from our mini-figure factory!

We will also be looking for a parent volunteer to assist with the classes. In exchange, the parent volunteer will have the registration fee waived for their child. Parent volunteers must have a completed criminal background check and be permitted to work in the schools.
