Fire Chief visits Grade One

Grade one students were excited to welcome Fire Chief Alison Larkin, Deputy Chief Jeffrey Main and Fireman Randy Pineau to their classroom. She also brought Fireman in training Garrett !

Students were interested in finding out why Chief Larkin became a fireman. Chief Larkin also spoke about the importance of reading and math in her work. Chief Larkin also talked to the students about when to call 911. She was very happy to find out that all students knew their civic address and the name of their road or street!

Many of the students are now planning on being a volunteer fire fighter!

Thank you for taking the time to visit with us!

Help us find out! | Aidez-nous à les découvrir!

We want to hear from French program graduates from all across the Atlantic region, for whom French has enriched their lives, socially, culturally, or professionally. Did you take core French, Intensive French or attend a French Immersion or French First language program? Did you graduate from one of these programs? Do you know someone who did? Please fill out the form below so that we can record their French language journey and pass it on to future bilingual graduates. Feel free to share this form with others that you think may be interested in sharing their stories!
