ELEMENTARY MATH ASSESSMENTS:
Grade 6 will continue writing their assessments this morning mornings. As a result, classes will not be disturbed.
MUSIC:
-First Recess–Honour Choir & Grade 6 singing this evening at the Birchwood Intermediate School concert.
(Advance Notice:) After School tomorrow-Friday (2:35-3:45 p.m.)–June 20th Concert Choir
Permission Form went home regarding the upcoming Alumni Concert on Tuesday, June 20th at 7 p.m.
NOTE FOR GRADE 6:
-Students attending Birchwood next year who are interested in participating in hockey academy, please return your registration forms and fee to Stratford Elementary School office prior to Friday, June 9th.
FOR PARENTS & STUDENTS REZONED FOR DONAGH:
You are invited to attend an open house at Donagh Regional School, 928 Bethel Road, on Thursday, June 15th from 6:30-7:30 p.m. An information went home with students yesterday.
FIELD TRIP-Grade 4:
Information went home with students  regarding a Field Trip to Allisary Marsh as follows:
4C Friday, June 9th (leaving at 8:30 a.m.)
FIELD TRIP-Grade 6:
Students received information forms regarding a Trip to Roma on the following dates:
6G & 6F Monday, June 12th
6A & 6B Wednesday, June 14th
6C & 6D Thursday, June 15th
FIELD TRIP-French Immersion Classes:
Our French Immersion classes are off to the Murphy Center for the day on June 15th (Thursday) to attend Journee FrancoFun. Further information will be sent home with students.
YEAR-END TRIP-Grade 5:
Information went home with Grade 5 students regarding their upcoming year-end trip (Monday, June 26th). Students will leave the school at 8:35 a.m. by bus for swimming at the Bell Aliant pool. They will leave the pool at 11:10 a.m. and proceed to the Cineplex for movie.
YEAR-END TRIP-Grade 4:
Information went home with students regarding the year-end trip to Sandspit on Wednesday, June 21st (Rain Date: 22nd). The cost and Permission Slip are due by Wednesday, June 14th.
LIBRARY:
All books are due Friday, June 9th
LATE SCHOOL SUPPLY PAYMENTS:
Reminder notices were sent home with students.
CORRESPONDENCE:
-Information went home  with students regarding the plan for the last day of classes (June 28th.)
-Permission Form went home with Grade 6 students regarding the upcoming health curriculum unit. Due Date: Friday, June 9th.
GRADE 6 LEADERSHIP GROUP:
Upcoming training for the “Right to Play Day” June 23rd 12:05-2:35 p.m. (Rain Date: June 27th):
-2:35-3:45 p.m.-Wednesday, June 14th
Students are reminded to make plans for after school pick up in advance.
FUNDRAISING-“Sport Theme” Day:
Students are invited to bring a loonie on Friday, June 16th and wear sports team attire to show support for everyone’s right to play! Proceeds will be donated to the Right To Play organization.
BIKE SAFETY:
Students were reminded to stay on the sidewalk with their bikes and not cut across the bus or staff parking lots.
AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS:
Students are reminded to bring extra snacks if they are remaining for after school activities (i.e. Right to Play, Choir, Extra Help/Tutoring, etc.) They tend to become very hungry once the end-of-the-day bell rings!
