Teacher Certification
No candidate for a teaching position in the province of Prince Edward Island may enter into an agreement to teach, verbal or otherwise, with a school board until such a candidate has had their credentials evaluated by the provincial Registrar and has been issued a license stating that they are eligible to teach in this province. The Registrar also issues renewals and upgrades to PEI Teacher's Certificates, Substitute Teacher Authorizations and Statements of Professional Standing.
