CMEC Student Transfer Guide
The Student Transfer Guide provides provincial/territorial secondary-curriculum information, which assists teachers and guidance counsellors in designing programs of study for students who have moved from another jurisdiction. CMEC believes that students moving from one jurisdiction to another should have access to a program of study that avoids duplication and allows them to graduate within the same timeframe as they would have had they not moved. It is critical that the student transfer guide be updated at a pace that reflects continuous curriculum changes in all jurisdictions.
The guide, available in both English and French, outlines key points about each jurisdiction’s secondary-school curriculum. Most jurisdictions have one section available in both languages. New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island have two sections each because there are differences between the anglophone and francophone programs in these two jurisdictions.
