Using Domestic Class Pesticides
Domestic class pesticides are sold for home use. If used according to label directions, these products pose little risk to the user or to the environment. No special training or certification is needed to purchase or use a domestic pesticide.
In PEI, Domestic class pesticides are separated into two groups:

These products require no dilution or mixing prior to use. Typically they are sold in a volume or weight of less that one litre or one kilogram, respectively.
A list of self select Domestic pesticides (sorted alphabetically, based on the pesticide name) is available for download or viewing.
A list of self select Domestic pesticides (sorted numerically, based on the Pest Control Product Number) is available for download or viewing.
Controlled Purchase Domestic Pesticides
These products may need to be diluted or mixed before use, they may require special handling, or they may be sold in larger container sizes. Controlled purchase domestic pesticides cannot be openly displayed at vendor outlets. The and must be kept behind the sales counter or inside a locked cabinet.
