Boiler, Pressure Vessel, LP Gas, Plumbing and Home Heat Tank

Boiler PlumberThis section, staffed by a chief offficer and six inspectors, administers the Boilers and Pressure Vessels Act and Regulations and the Power Engineers Act and Regulations.

Notice: Please be aware that on October 20, 2012 a number of fee's and regulatory changes, related to the Power Engineers Act and General Regulations will come in effect.

The primary objective is to ensure the protection of life and property where boilers, pressure vessels and propane, natural and manufactured gas are being used.

Public health and safety is also protected through the administration of the Environmental Protection Act, Code for Plumbing Services Regulations which adopts the Canadian Plumbing Code, and the On-Site Sewage Disposal Regulations.

Three of the inspectors within the section also carry out final installation inspections for on-site sewage disposal system.
