Site Suitability Assessment

Why do I need a site suitability assessment?

An assessment will help to tell you whether a piece of land is suitable to subdivide or suitable for a sewage disposal system.

What does a site suitability assessment check?

A safety standards officer will assess the site for safe access to a provincial highway. The officer will also assess soil conditions, if requested, for an on-site sewage disposal system. Only a licensed sewage disposal contractor can install on-site sewage disposal systems.

What is the fee?

$300 is the fee for a site suitability assessment.

HST is required.

Make cheques payable to the Minister of Finance.
