Burning Permit for Buildings

Do I need a permit to burn an obsolete or abandoned building?

Yes, a Burning Permit is needed to dispose of a building through burning by your local fire service. 

A Burning Permit may/may not be issued, depending upon weather conditions. Your local fire service may also refuse to carry out a burning.

What materials may not be burned?

It is illegal to burn select materials.

What is the cost?

There is no fee for issuing a Burning Permit.

How long will it take to get a Burning Permit?

Please allow one to two (1-2) weeks to process your application.
