Accessory Building Permit
Building permits are issued by either a municipality or the provincial government for new structures and renovations, depending on the area in which you wish to build.
Building in a Municipality?
If the property is located in a municipality with an official plan and bylaw, please contact the municipality directly. Please refer to the Municipal Planning page for more information.
Building Outside a Municipality?
If you are building in an area outside one of the municipalities listed below, contact a Safety Standards Officer in Inspection Services, Department of Environment, Labour and Justice. Application forms are available at all Access PEI sites or from the related forms section of this page.
Your application must be accompanied by a site plan and a building plan of the proposed project.
