Site Suitability Assessment
If you are not interested in development or subdivision of land at this time and would like to know if a parcel of land is suitable to subdivide or develop, you can apply for a site suitability assessment at the Department of Environment, Labour and Justice. A Safety Standards Officer may also complete a site assessment of the property for safe access onto the Provincial Highway. They will also conduct a soils assessment to determine soil conditions to support an on-site sewage disposal system if required. This is initiated by the applicant making application and attaining the services of a backhoe operator to dig the test pit.
