Our Committee has been hard at work, creating a convention that features a flavour for every breeder in today’s dynamic dairy industry. Convention delegates will see the latest dairy technologies at the innovative Canadian Dairy Xpo. The National Holstein Sale will feature the finest animals the Holstein breed has to offer. The National Holstein Show will showcase the best Canadian Holsteins challenging for the champion banners at the centre of the ring. The York Heritage Night will be an evening spent traveling down memory lane as we celebrate and pay tribute to the influential breeders and cattle that have called York home over the past Century. The pride and passion of our Holstein breeders will be on full display during the farm tours, featuring a diverse lineup of Master Breeder herds, elite genetics and modern facilities. Our alternate tour will take our convention delegates on a world-class culinary experience, and feature stops in the Holland Marsh, cooking workshops and wine tasting inspired by the flavours of York Region. A night not to be missed will be “The Bullpen Sports Bar”. Delegates are encouraged to wear their favourite sports jerseys for an evening spent cheering on their favourite teams, and dancing to the live music of the James Barker Band. The Annual General Meeting and Master Breeder Gala will be highlights of our Convention as we present the prestigious, Cow of the Year Award and honour the newest class of Master Breeders.
