Species
Prince Edward Island aquaculturists produce a wide variety of finfish and shellfish species. The blue mussel is the predominant species that is cultured, along with the American oyster and other shellfish species. Hatchery production of Atlantic salmon and rainbow trout make up the rest of Prince Edward Island's aquaculture production.
