Pre-Budget Consultations 2012

Summary

Since 2007, the Government of Prince Edward Island has been committed to improving health care,
education and tax fairness for Islanders. That continues to be a commitment in preparations for the 2012
budget.

The global downturn required unprecedented action by governments to support their economies and
protect vital services. This resulted in larger deficits over that period.

As we develop the 2012 budget, our challenge is to address the deficit while protecting the vital
government services on which Islanders rely. We are inviting you to tell us your priorities.
