Heritage Places Designation Appeals
Under the Heritage Places Protection Act and the Heritage Places Protection Act Regulations, the Minister of Tourism and Culture may designate any heritage place as a designated site, structure or area.The owner of any property designated as a heritage place, or any municipality in which the property is located, may appeal the Minister's decision by written notice to the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission within 30 days of the receipt of service of the Notice of Designation of Heritage Place.
