The IT Shared Services branch of Finance and Municipal Affairs combines five divisions.

Client Services
WHAT WE DO
The Client Services Division is responsible for providing client departments with pro-active, responsive, and high quality client services.

Infrastructure
WHAT WE DO
The IT Infrastructure Support section of the division is responsible for providing a leadership role in the planning, operation and support of network and server communications, which includes voice services across Government. The Client Support section of the Infrastructure Division is responsible for providing client and technical support throughout the provincial government. Client Support services include logging and tracking incidents and requests, telephone support and onsite technical assistance.

Corporate, Operations, Finance & Planning
WHAT WE DO
The Corporate, Operations, Finance & Policy Division is responsible for providing IT governance support, setting corporate policy, security and standards for IT service delivery to government, ensuring on-going planning and research into best practices for IT services in the future, ensuring responsible and accountable investment and financial management, and participating on Federal, Provincial and Territorial committees.

Business Application Services
WHAT WE DO
Business Systems Division provides support to government departments in the acquisition, development, support and maintenance of systems. The Application Development and Support Section of Business Systems is responsible for the development, maintenance and support of departmental applications using current technology. The Consulting Services Section is responsible for information systems coordination, contract and service level agreement management, business process and requirements analysis services, IT Planning Assistance, and Project Management Services. The Enterprise Systems section is responsible for the acquisition, support and enhancement of corporate applications. Examples include the Government Website, intranet, personnel and payroll systems and the Financial Information System (FIS). This Section is also responsible for report writing and database application support. The Clinical Information System (CIS) Section is responsible for the implementation, administration, maintenance and support for the 23+ applications contained within the CIS Section which serves up the application to the eight Acute Care facilities in Prince Edward Island.

Enterprise Architecture Services
WHAT WE DO
Enterprise Architecture Services Division is responsible for setting Government-wide standards in IT, developing the overall information technology architecture of government and implementing security practice through the Office of Information Protection.
