H1N1 Vaccine

Each year the strain of influenza changes and a vaccine is developed to offer protection against the strains that are circulating in the community. This year is a different flu season with the predominant strain of influenza being the H1N1 Flu Virus. For most people, this is the vaccine they need first that will offer the best protection against influenza this fall. We encourage everyone to get vaccinated to protect yourself, your loved ones and your community.

Recommendations on the H1N1 vaccine dosage for children between 3 years and 9 years of age were announced on November 12 by the Public Health Agency of Canada. (more)
