Events and Workshops 2013 - 14
The Forests, Fish and Wildlife Division, in cooperation with different partners, offers workshops, presentations and field trips related to forest management, hunting, trapping, forest ecology, wildlife habitat, angling and many other subjects.
As information on new courses and workshops becomes available, it will be posted here. Interested groups and organizations that wish to promote events on this web site can send a request to the Information Officer, Forests, Fish and Wildlife Division. These events and workshops must support the goals and policies of the division and of the Government of Prince Edward Island.
Youth Waterfowl Hunting Workshop: September 14, 2013 - Mt. Albion
The annual Youth Waterfowl Hunting Workshop for youth ages 12 - 17, will be held on September 14, 2013 at the Charlottetown Trap and Skeet club in Mt Albion. For more information or to register, call 902 368 4683.
Fall Frolic: October 12, 2013 - New Harmony Demonstration Woodlot - Souris
The 2013 Fall Frolic Cross Country run will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at the New Harmony Demonstration Woodlot near Souris. The main course is 12.3 km long and winds through the heritage roads, along a section of the Confederation trail system, and ends up at the New Harmony Demonstration woodlot. A shorter 4.6 km course is also available for novice cross country runners and walkers.
Registration begins at 9:00 am with both runs beginning at 10 am. The entry fees are $10 and a barbeque and door prize draw held after the run.

Basic Trappers Course: October 19 - 20, 2013 - Charlottetown.
In order to obtain a trappers license on PEI, people must complete a Trapper Education Course. This course is provided free-of-chage to those 12 to 15 years of age. For those who are 16 years of age and over, the fee is $20/person.
