Forest Tour
The Forests, Fish and Wildlife Division, in cooperation with different partners, offers workshops, presentations and field trips related to forest management, hunting, trapping, forest ecology, wildlife habitat, angling and many other subjects.

As information on new courses and workshops becomes available, it will be posted here. Interested groups and organizations that wish to promote events on this web site can send a request to the Information Officer, Forests, Fish and Wildlife Division. These events and workshops must support the goals and policies of the division and of the Government of Prince Edward Island.

PEI Woodlot Owners's Association Annual Meeting: April 18, 2015
The PEI Woodlot Owners' Association is hosting its annual General Meeting on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the Farm Centre, 420 University Avenue in Charlottetown. Registration will be held at 8:30 am with the general meeting to follow at 9:00 am.  Agenda includes :
- Business Meeting
· Pilot Project on Buffer Zone Harvesting
· Marketing Opportunities and Trends and Value-Added Opportunities
· Forest Improvement Program
· Intergenerational Transfer of Woodlands
· Development of Sustainable Biomass Opportunities

Family Earth Expo:  April 25, 2015
Family Earth Expo is an all-ages event with information booths by green businesses and environmental groups, live music, food, family activities, and workshops on environmental action and awareness. It will be held on Saturday, April 25th from 12:30 to 4:00 pm at the PEI Farm Centre next to CBC on Univerosty Avenue in Charlottetown.

The Earth Expo features an art show and family art activities, seed planting, face painting, hula hoops, Island wildlife display, a 'Reading Tent', 'Explore a Wetland', UPEI's 'Let's Talk Science' program and, given good weather, activities in the Farm Centre Legacy Garden. There will be several excellent presentations including EVs (Electric cars), Invasive Species, the 'Environmental Bill of Rights', and 'Blue Whales- Leviathans of the North Atlantic'.
