Events and Workshops 2013 - 14
The Forests, Fish and Wildlife Division, in cooperation with different partners, offers workshops, presentations and field trips related to forest management, hunting, trapping, forest ecology, wildlife habitat, angling and many other subjects.
As information on new courses and workshops becomes available, it will be posted here. Interested groups and organizations that wish to promote events on this web site can send a request to the Information Officer, Forests, Fish and Wildlife Division. These events and workshops must support the goals and policies of the division and of the Government of Prince Edward Island.
A Becoming an Outdoors Woman (BOW) course is slated for Sunday, June 22, 2014 at the Vernon River Consolidated Elementary School in Vernon River PEI.
Running from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, this BOW course will feature* topics such as:
- Firearms Safety and Skeet Shooting;
- Canoeing; and
- Map and Compass.
The cost is $20/person and there is room for up to 40 participants. Snacks are provided but participants must bring their own lunch. Participants are also reminded to bring clothing suited to the weather conditions
