Events and Workshops 2014 - 15
The Forests, Fish and Wildlife Division, in cooperation with different partners, offers workshops, presentations and field trips related to forest management, hunting, trapping, forest ecology, wildlife habitat, angling and many other subjects.
As information on new courses and workshops becomes available, it will be posted here. Interested groups and organizations that wish to promote events on this web site can send a request to the Information Officer, Forests, Fish and Wildlife Division. These events and workshops must support the goals and policies of the division and of the Government of Prince Edward Island.
Bufferzone Harvesting Certification Workshop: Saturday, May 9, 2015
The PEI Woodlot Owners Association (PEIWOA), in partnership with the PEI Department of Communities, Land and Environment, is offering a half day workshop on harvest requirements for forested buffer zones. The workshop will be held at the J. Frank Gaudet Tree Nursery complex, 183 Upton Rd in Charlottetown beginning at 9:00 am. PEIWOA members, foresters and forest technicians, and harvesting contractors are invited to attend.
There is no charge to attend but preregistration is required by contacting John Rowe at (902) 940- 1933 or by email.
