PEI Christmas Tree Growers

Prince Edward Island Christmas trees are natural, safe and 100% biodegradable and they are renowned for their quality, colour, and fragrance.  Growers produce a variety of evergreen species and decorative wreaths for local retail outlets and for export to markets in Canada and New England.

Balsam Fir is the primary species grown for the Christmas tree market on PEI but many growers also produce species such as White Pine, Scots Pine, Fraser Fir and spruce. Many operations also sell wreaths, garlands, boughs and other Christmas decorating products for indoor and outdoor uses.

U-cut operations are very common on PEI. These operations encourage people to come out to a local Christmas tree farm and select tree that suits their needs. Other growers pre-cut and sell trees at their properties or set up Christmas tree retail operations in many Island communities.

The 2015 PEI Christmas Tree and Wreath Producers' list contains contact information and the location of Island producers as well a list of the types of products and services they provide to consumers.  If you would like to add your PEI Christmas tree company or farm to this listing, please contact Ken Mayhew, Forest Information Officer at khmayhew@gov.pe.ca or call (902) 368 6450.
