Firearms and Hunter Safety Education

Everyone hunting in Prince Edward Island is required to be in possession of a Firearm Safety Certificate. All persons wishing to acquire a PEI hunting license are required to exhibit a Firearm Safety Certificate to the license vendor. Vendors are prohibited from issuing a license to any person who does not possess a certificate.

Non-residents are reminded that Prince Edward Island recognizes all provincial and state hunter/firearms safety courses as long as that course meets the International Hunter Education Standards.
