Hunting
Hunting is a popular recreational activity on Prince Edward Island. While the Island is famous for Canada geese hunting, quality opportunities also exist for other waterfowl such as black ducks, teal and a variety of sea ducks, as well as upland hunting for ruffed grouse and snowshoe hare.
The Forests, Fish and Wildlife Division works with hunters and wildlife conservation groups to provide hunter education and safety training, information on game species, regulate outfitters and guides and a variety of other services designed to ensure the long term health of game species populations and a quality hunting experience for novice and experienced hunters.
