Wildlife Conservation Fund Committee

In 2006, the Department of Agriculture and Forestry officially transferred administration of the fund to the Wildlife Conservation Fund Committee which consists of 10 members:

three representatives from the angling community;
three representatives from the hunting community;
one representative from the trapping community;
one representative from community watershed groups;
one representative of non-consumptive users such as birdwatchers and hikers; and
one representative from the Department of Agriculture and Forestry.

Current members of the Wildlife Conservation Fund Committee are:

representing the Angling community - Taylor Jordan Main of Cornwall, Denis Rix of Alberton and Bruce Smith of Morell ;
representing the Hunting community - Eric Shaw of O'Leary, Duncan Crawford of Covehead, and Geoff Wood of Charlottetown ;
representing Trappers - Doug MacEwen (WCF Committee Chair) of Morell;
representing Non-consumptive users - Fiep de Bie of Stratford;.;
representing Watershed groups - Karen Rank of Ellerslie; and
representing the Department of Agriculture and Forestry - Brad Potter.
