Wildlife Conservation Fund Committee
In 2006, the Department of Agriculture and Forestry officially transferred administration of the fund to the Wildlife Conservation Fund Committee which consists of 10 members:
- three representatives from the angling community;
- three representatives from the hunting community;
- one representative from the trapping community;
- one representative from community watershed groups;
- one representative of non-consumptive users such as birdwatchers and hikers; and
- one representative from the Department of Agriculture and Forestry.
Current members of the Wildlife Conservation Fund Committee are:
- representing the Angling community - Taylor Jordan Main of Cornwall, Denis Rix of Alberton and Bruce Smith of Morell ;
- representing the Hunting community - Eric Shaw of O'Leary, Duncan Crawford of Covehead, and Geoff Wood of Charlottetown ;
- representing Trappers - Doug MacEwen (WCF Committee Chair) of Morell;
- representing Non-consumptive users - Fiep de Bie of Stratford;.;
- representing Watershed groups - Karen Rank of Ellerslie; and
- representing the Department of Agriculture and Forestry - Brad Potter.
