Licences and Permits

Licences are required for everyone who hunts, traps, or angles for freshwater species on PEI. Here you can learn more about the licencing process and where and how to obtain a licence.

Hunters and anglers may purchase an annual licence through one of the many retail outlets across PEI or you purchase you fishing or hunting licence online.

The annual Angling Summary contains information on licence requirements, updated angling restrictions, daily catch limits, and other information for resident and visitors who want to enjoy the angling experience on PEI.
