Fish and Wildlife
The Forests, Fish and Wildlife Division works to conserve and enhance terrestrial and aquatic habitats; protect unique and rare natural areas; educate hunters and trappers; oversee angling, hunting and trapping regulations; and collect data on common and endangered wildlife species. Fish and Wildlife staff also work with land owners to manage wildlife resources, deal with nuisance wildlife and educate the public on the value of healthy wildlife populations. For statistical information and reports on Island wildlife visit the Forests, Fish and Wildlife Division's Legislation, Policies and Other Resources page.
