Private Land
The majority of Prince Edward Island's forest land is owned and controlled by private individuals. Private land owners use and manage these lands for many personal reasons such as fuelwood, recreation, income, stewardship and family connections.
Managing a private woodlot for any reason can be both challenging and rewarding. In order to help Island land owners make informed choices for their forest lands, the Private Woodlands site was created to offer information on a variety of programs and services. The information is designed to help land owners manage their lands for any number of goals.
