Recreational Fisheries Policy Discussions The Province is seeking input from people who are interested in the future of the Island's recreational fishery. In early 2008, people will be asked to participate in several public and stakeholder forums where they can offer their ideas and concerns for the future of our fresh water sports fishery.
This site offers background information such as the 2007 Recreational Fisheries Policy Discussion Paper* and the 2006 PEI Angling Survey Results*.
The dates and locations for the public consultations are posted at: Consultation Schedule.
As well, you can read what people are saying and suggesting about the future of fresh water angling on P.E.I.through the on-line discussion page. You can send your comments and suggestions** to the online forum at: fishpolicy@gov.pe.ca
* NOTE: You can obtain the cover for the English version of the Discussion Paper here, or the cover for the 2006 Angling Survey Results here.
**NOTE: All submissions are reviewed prior to posting on the site to ensure appropriate content.
