Export, Product and Market Development Programs
EXPORT DEVELOPMENT
This Program's objective is to increase the competitiveness of Prince Edward Island's agriculture and agrifood sector outside of Canada by assisting with costs associated with undertaking export market intelligence and market exploratory activities. The Export Development Program will enable farmers, agri-businesses and agri-processors to investigate emerging market trends, to analyze new and emerging markets, and to capitalize on new market opportunities outside of Canada.
MARKET DEVELOPMENT
This Program's objective is to increase the competitiveness of Prince Edward Island's agriculture and agrifood sector by assisting with the costs of new market development activities. The Market Development Program will benefit farmers, agri-businesses and agriprocessors seeking to capitalize on market intelligence, understand delivery to new market logistics, translate company materials and hire legal consultation.
This program will assist companies that export Prince Edward Island agricultural products by sharing the costs of the last step of pre-commercialization to access new markets.
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT
This Program's objective is to increase the competitiveness of Prince Edward Island's agriculture and agrifood sector by assisting with the costs of product development activities. The Product Development Program will benefit farmers, agri-businesses and agri-processors seeking to develop new products for their business, and to develop packaging and marketing material specific to the new products.
This program will improve the presentation of Prince Edward Island-produced agricultural products, and the individuals who produce them.
