To assist producers with implementation of pest management and soil fertility practices to improve efficiency and competitiveness on organic farms.
    
ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS

• Agricultural producers

ELIGIBLE ACTIVITIES
Purchase of equipment and technology, including transportation and set-up.

        Eligible Equipment:

• portable grain cleaners
• inter row cultivators
• flame weeders
• mechanical weed control
• Frost/ green manure  seeders
• eco-weeders
• compost turners and replacement parts

Equipment and/or technologies not on the list below will be reviewed and assessed for eligibility.

    Ineligible Expenses

• in-kind materials and labour
• Non arms-length transactions

ASSISTANCE
Eligible equipment costs up to 50% of the cost of the equipment to a maximum of $5,000 per project

APPLICATION AND APPROVAL PROCESS
Complete the Specialized Equipment Application form addressing each area provides in the template.  

Project submissions will be reviewed on an on-going basis. Projects will be accepted until funds are fully committed.

CLAIMING PROCESS
To be reimbursed, applicants must submit a claim form to the Prince Edward Island
Department of Agriculture and Forestry with invoices and proof of payment, project report and evaluation.
