Funding up to $1,000
Given the high costs for fertilizers, seed and other farm inputs, this program component will help participants to more accurately assess input requirements. Financial assistance will be provided at 50% reimbursement for samples submitted to the PEI Analytical Laboratories to a maximum assistance level of $1,000 per applicant’s term. Eligible items for reimbursement will include: soil, livestock feed, manure, compost, tissue, seed germination, milk and water testing.
Training in the area of gathering, interpreting, and utilizing sample results is a requirement for assistance and can be provided by the Future Farmer Advisor.
