Hockey Day in Canada 2012

The Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada celebrations, an annual partnership of Scotiabank and CBC to celebrate Canada's sports passion, is coming to Prince Edward Island!

Coinciding with the annual Jack Frost Children's WinterFest, the four day Hockey Day in Canada extravaganza will take place in 27 rinks over four days in communities across Prince Edward Island from February 8 to 11, 2012.

The sport of hockey has been a burning passion for Islanders for nearly 150 years, gaining widespread popularity during the late 19th century as a winter activity. Through the generations countless Island hockey players both male and female have displayed their skills competitively at the national, international, and professional levels.

Check out the Hockey Day in Canada event schedule.  Most events are free to the public though some events will require a ticket. A list of ticketed events can be found here.
