Turnip (Rutabaga) with Herbs

Cut turnip into strips about 4 inches x ¾ inch x ½ inch (10 cm x 2 cm x 1 cm). Steam over boiling water, or cook in boiling water until just tender.


Sprinkle with herbs of your choice, fresh or dried, (try coriander, cumin, parsley, rosemary, savory, or thyme) and a bit of butter or olive oil. Serve at once.
