Why is Healthy Eating important?

 

Healthy eating means choosing the right type and amount of foods and beverages. Eating a variety of healthy foods and beverages in the right amounts can help to maintain a healthy body weight. Eating healthy may also decrease your risk of chronic diseases such as Type 2 Diabetes, some cancers and heart disease.  Healthy eating promotes and supports the well-being of every Canadian (all ages and stages).
