Islanders to have improved access to heart and lung rehab services

Health and Wellness Minister Robert Henderson said the new cardio-pulmonary rehab program being offered in Charlottetown will be expanding to Summerside and Montague. Funding of $325,000 will be provided annually for three PEI locations when fully operational.

Prince Edward Island’s first Youth Mental Health Day Treatment Program is another step closer to welcoming clients in August, now that key staff are hired and programming is being developed.

PEI's new cancer strategy will provide health care providers and community partners with direction for cancer prevention and care over the next three years (2016-2019).

National Immunization Awareness Week is being celebrated April 23 to 30 and the theme this year is “Be a Champion and Get Vaccinated!”
